 Baalbeck : Columns

 They are six columns remaining out of 54,
 which formed the huge Temple of Jupiter.
 These columns which are crowned with a
 beautiful cornice, are 20m high each , and
 have a diameter of 2m20cm .
 

 

                      
 
Baalbeck: Entry to the Temple of Bacchus
                   It is adorned with very beautiful sculptured stones .
                   Incidentally, due to the earthquake which hit the city
                   in 1759, some of its stones rifted. Nevertheless, they
